Q:
Our trainers are in high demand. Payment is required in order to book a spot in their calendar. Our fees do not only cover the time spent face-to-face with your trainer but also account for our trainers' expertise, experience, time spent preparing for your lessons, travel to and from lessons, insurance, and more.
Q:
Positive reinforcement dog training is rooted in teaching dogs what to do instead of the old school methods of punishing them for making a mistake. We manage the enviornment to set dogs up to make good decisions while teaching and rewarding behaviors we like. Identifying the root cause of behaviors we do not like allows us to replace them with appropriate behaviors and avoid harsh methods of punishment that can cause problematic side effects like aggression.
Q:
In an effort to protect our trainers' schedules, avoid increasing our fees, and to respect our clients' time and investment in their training program, we do not accommodate cancellations. If you must cancel or reschedule an already scheduled lesson, that lesson is forfeited. Emergencies may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the trainer.
Q:
This is an unfortunate truth. Anyone can call themselves a dog trainer, no education, experience, or expertise required. This means anyone can recommend or implement training techniques that are not only ineffective at changing behavior but can cause more serious behavior problems than you started out with (severe fear and/or aggression).
Getting started is as easy as sending us a quick email via our contact form. Tell us a little bit about you, your dog, and your training goals and let's get you on the road to better behavior.
Don't wait for your dog to 'grow out of it' or for your life to 'calm down' because they won't and you will always be busy!
