When your dog’s behavior feels confusing, overwhelming, or scary, you don’t need quick fixes—you need clarity.
The Behavior Consultation is the required starting point for all new clients. It’s a structured, supportive process designed to help us understand why behavior is happening and what steps will best support safety, wellbeing, and change.
A Behavior Consultation is a comprehensive assessment that looks at the full picture of your dog’s life, behavior, and emotional experience. Together, we slow down, gather context, and identify what’s driving the behavior—so recommendations are thoughtful, realistic, and humane.
The consultation is conducted virtually, which allows for safer, more accurate assessment for dogs experiencing fear, anxiety, reactivity, or aggression.
Prioritize safety for everyone involved
Observe behavior without adding pressure
For many behavior concerns, especially those involving fear or aggression, having a new person physically enter the space can increase stress and make assessment less accurate.
Focus on context, patterns, and lived experience
Provide thoughtful guidance without rushing
In-person support may be discussed later for clients in Moore County, NC, when appropriate.
The Behavior Consultation is split into two virtual sessions, totaling approximately 120 minutes.
In our first session, we focus on information gathering and context.
In the second session, we review findings and move into planning.
Our role is to guide, support, and collaborate—not to promise outcomes that aren’t ethical or realistic.
